On “Moon Relate” (originally titled “Me and The Moon Relate”), Lil Uzi Vert uses the moon as a metaphor for the effects of drugs and expresses his frequently-mentioned claim of not being from Earth.

The original track was recorded in 2017 during production of Uzi’s debut studio album, Luv Is Rage 2, and was thrown away from the project. It was previewed online in June 2017 and September 2017. It began to circulate in 2019 but was not leaked. It was confirmed to be on the deluxe version of Uzi’s 2020 sophomore studio album, Eternal Atake, on March 8, 2020, by Uzi on Twitter after fans requested its release on Twitter.

The album version was confirmed to be a rerecorded version after it was previewed by Uzi on Twitter on March 8, 2020:
The original 2017 version of the track was leaked ten hours before the album version’s release. The album version features rawer vocals and added synthesizers to the instrumental.

“Moon Relate” debuted at #62 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the chart week of March 28, 2020.
