Biography
Lauren Oxford (born January 15, 1996) is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, folksinger, and filker who lives in the mountains of East Tennessee with her wife Emma and their three cats. She writes intimately about relationships, trauma, mental health, love, and loss with the hope that something universal can be found in the personal. Her performances are disarming and arresting in their vulnerability, which is her greatest strength. Lauren’s self-titled debut album was released digitally and on CD October 28.
She is also a member of folk “queertet” The Starlight Darlins, along with Emily Johnson-Erday, Siena Christie, and Gray Buchanan. Their unique blend of four-part harmony, old-time instrumentation, and stunning original songs altogether creates what can only be described as magic. They released their first EP, The Winfield Sessions, Vol. 1, on December 2, 2022.
