hands down their weakest release to date. "good bones" continues their streak of building hype with their openings, but after that the ep doesn't really go anywhere. all of the songs sound half-baked. the title track doesn't even sound like a good enough b-side for their previous releases. idk, this ep comes off as a bit of a cash grab. i would've preferred to wait longer for them to find better songs. pretty disappointed.

i can't believe people didn't like this comeback! yeah the cover is trashy but the title track is a banger

What is happening to Le Sserafim? How did we go from "The Great Mermaid", "Sour Grapes" and "Anti Fragile" to this? I'm a sucker for K-Pop groups doing R&B inspired songs, but only if they do it right. And this feels like the budget was 3 dollars, and the effort was minimal. Horribly produced songs with way too much autotune. Their intros were always climatic and they always set the mood, but this is way too long (it is actually longer than some of the songs on the EP), and it's just so dissappointing to hear such a lazy song like "Easy" after the intro. For the state of this album and for the state of artistic vision right now, I blame Min Heejin, TikTok, and SoMu's desperate attempts to recreate "Perfect Night"'s success. I hope their creative team will figure out the issues with their songs right now, because they have been declining every since their debut. If you read it, thank you, and If you think it's too much, suck on my clit

this was slaying but you lost me @ "I blame Min Heejin" lmao this is entirely on SouMu's execs and creative team. Yes, TikTok badly influenced a whole lot of the music industry tendencies, but other groups and companies have shown that you don't have to cater to absolutely every music trend or TikTok strategy (at least not at the same time) to achieve successful results. they're just desperate af since EP&TBW to make them happen globally while forgetting to at least make the process more organic and give it some solid identity and quality, both visually and musically.

Good Bones is a great intro, but feels like the wrong intro for this particular album. It sounds totally different from the rest of the album and the transition from it to Easy was jarring

i don’t like either but i get personal taste is personal taste. which is why to me that’s the biggest error on the whole EP…is hybe so desperate to jack olivia rodrigo’s entire shtick that they gotta shoehorn this goofy intro onto a completely unrelated EP? if you wanna make a chill album, make a chill album. it is objectively stupid to slap a banger on there, at least save it for a different project…

okay yea, after a day i can say this is their weakest release. and with all this western influence you’d think they would start making longer track lengths and putting more (quality) songs on an album. i’m so tired of the mini album bs, especially when only one or two songs make it to the playlist 🤦🏽♀️ source and hybe put all their effort toward their merch this comeback and even that is just the lsfm logo plastered on active wear..

also as someone studying graphic design PLEASE i know that lsfm’s visual branding is built on simplicity or whatever but gawd these covers are getting boring and repetitive

yeah lsfm's whole brand was meant to have a sleek minimalistic rich feeling but this is not how you do it

i usually roll my eyes at the k-pop fan complaint about songs being too short nowadays, because some songs don’t need to be more than 3 minutes…or 2 minutes (listen to the right bands and you can even find perfect songs that are shorter than 20 seconds). but this time, that really is the problem. “chill k-pop” is a nice idea but minimalism just doesn’t play to k-pop’s strengths, so you at least need a really good bridge to help carry the vibe (the bridge can be chill too, it just needs to add some contrast). this EP feels so monotone and boring because HYBE sent out a “no bridges for the girls” memo after newjeans took over so none of these songs get the breakdowns they needed to make the whole thing work

Definitely not their most exciting by a long shot but still enjoyable nonetheless. A little one-tone overall but it makes for easy listening (lol)

release time wouldn't really make a difference for me it's the mixing and overuse of autotune the producers need to be fired for this shit
