This album's painfully relatable when it really hits... Love the strong Trip Hop/Industrial vibe in here!

Easily the best album, next to the self-titled debut album. Love Issues a lot!

Most of their stuff is really good, but this is in my opinion their best album. The atmosphere, production and writing here is great. Like redfan pointed out, this still has remnants of the Follow the Leader sound (especially the darker songs in there, which are the better ones), but it feels WAY more mature and that makes the album a more enjoyable experience to me personally. thank based korno

I felt like this album came out to soon. I was into KoRn for a few years in the late 90's and when this came out people were still listening to 'Follow the Leader' and the hangover from that had barely started before they dropped this album out just over a year later. Also the 2nd half of the album could have been trimmed back as it feels like it's mostly filler, it taints the album a bit. So yeah, maybe 13 tracks and if it'd come out in mid 2000, this would have been a waaay better album. It was still good though and has some of their best material, 4U was so cool to hear this synthy lullaby from a band that at the time had been all growls and distorted guitars, but sadly it seems like they sorta lost their way more and more each album after this one.

Well... Counting, Dirty, Somebody Someone and No Way are amazing songs from the second half of the album. Don't you like those songs? :-)

exactly, these songs are fucking amazing and so is the whole record. Of course, I didn't listen to it exactly when it came out but fuck me, there are no filler songs here

Can confirm this felt like it dropped when many people were still overplaying Follow the Leader and it felt like too much. 'Falling Away From Me' is a killer song, but at the time it felt pretty straightforward compared to crossover stuff like 'Freak on a Leash' and 'Got the Life'. Anyway, cut to now and I think it's absolutely their best album, and simply can't agree that the second half has filler that should be cut. I love the batshit little interludes too.

Just few months away it marks 20 years that I first heard Korn with this album. I've still got no shame admitting that I enjoy this album the best out of the rest of their material. Still remember the horror my parent(s) went through when a 15 year old boy went from regular rock music to something as dark and gritty as this (at least back then it was!). Time flies by, huh.

Even so Korn is leaning towards a guilty pleasure for me these days if anything else. Perhaps i should've expressed myself better in that shout, not demeaning Korn/myself in itself. Nonetheless, i agree with you, it's just music and i still enjoy it. Probably not as much as back then, but the interest is still there.

"guilty pleasure" - Enjoying music has nothing to do with guilt. According to your profile you're from Finland. Is there a similar expression to this in Finnish? If not, ask yourself why. I'm from Germany and there is not. The concept of enjoying music is something to feel guilty for is ridiculous and should be denied at sight. Even if it might not be meant in the literal way.

Not going to argue with you there. Not everyone experiences guilt with music tastes, but i do to an extent and it is rather silly really. All in all, 'Issues' makes me feel like a 15 year old again, in a good way. It was a transitional time for me to something better (in my own opinion).
