Biography
Kimino Virus (キミノウィルス) is a Japanese visual kei men’s idol group formed in May 2019 with a virus-themed concept. Based in Tokyo, the group performs with members referred to as "idols" rather than traditional band members. The idol lineup currently includes NoA, Chika (愛), Rui (ルイ), Kikiyamash Fold (キキヤマッシュ・フォールド), Maigo Hiiragi (柊まゐご), and LIZE (リゼ). Their fanbase is known as "Virus-kei," reflecting the group’s unique concept of "infecting" and expanding their influence within the visual kei scene.
Kimino Virus’s music is performed live by a rotating set of support musicians, including guitarists Yukito (倖人) of ANFIEL (アンフィル) and Soya (宗弥) of Blu-BiLLioN, bassist HAKU (ハク) from UNiTE. (ユナイト), and drummers Shinya (信也) from Shinotsuku Ame (篠突く雨) and Syu (しゅう) of AUBE. Since its formation, former idols KJ, Ayato (綾人), and Yuki (優希) has left the group.
The group debuted with their single "SIRIUS" (シリウス) on July 1, 2020, and released several follow-up singles, including "Zaitaku Sore wa Yuuzai" (在宅ソレハ有罪) in November 2020, "Kimi Iro" (キミイロ) in April 2021, and "ANITIME" (アニティメ) in May 2021. Following Yuki’s departure on July 8, 2021, the group continued to release singles such as "HOSHI NI NegaI WO" (ホシニ願イヲ) in October 2021, "LIBELTORIA" (リベルトリア) in November 2021, and "KIMI NO SEI DESU‼︎" (キミノセイデス‼︎) in January 2022. Ayato’s contract expired in February 2023, and he subsequently graduated from the group.
