"I have forever been captured by the myth of Hades and Persephone. A young woman, too eager to explore, to feel things for herself, to taste the fruits she ought not to. I could never help but think her mother was not a reliable narrator. That her overprotective nature failed to even check what Persephone actually felt or wanted. So I decided to rewrite the myth through Persephones eyes. A version of the story where she claims she was not taken, but that she chose to leave. She wanted that underworld throne and she knew how to take it."
