Biography
Kid Capulet are a new band from Sheffield/London. Singer and guitarist Emilie, lead guitarist Rupert, bassist Sacha and drummer Alex met at uni in Sheffield and have been making good music since Easter '09 or so. Over the summer of 2009 they decided it was about time to share this wonderful noise with the rest of the world so they got together in London and recorded a 3 song demo.
One of the striking things about their demo is that it doesn't fit them into a niche or any particular genre. This is more accident than design: they simply don't know where they want to go with their music yet. As for what it sounds like, a little bit Bloc Party (with female vocals), a little bit Florence and the Machine, a little bit indie and a little disco at times. Their live show builds on a solid core of songs played by people possessed, as well as the odd 'interpreted cover', which is to say they take a song they like and make it even more likeable!
