Method is an extended play and single release by KROI. Released on July 16, 2025, through IRORI Records and Pony Canyon, the release was made available across physical CD formats and digital streaming platforms. The release tailored to complement the action-packed anime series SAKAMOTO DAYS, serving as its opening theme while expanding KROI's distinct urban-influenced aesthetic.
Musically, Method incorporates KROI's signature mix of funk, hip-hop, soul, and alternative rock. The arrangements rely heavily on tight, syncopated drum patterns, prominent basslines, rhythmic electric guitar riffs, and versatile keyboard synthesis, paired with dynamic vocal delivery that shifts between rap and melodic singing. The release features original vocal cuts including Method and Clay, alongside corresponding instrumental variations in Method (Instrumental) and Clay (Instrumental).
Historically, Method expanded KROI's mainstream presence through its association with the anime series SAKAMOTO DAYS. The official music video for Method, directed by filmmaker Taichi Kimura, gained widespread trivia interest for its innovative setup, which utilized 40 iPhones arranged in a 360-degree array to capture the group's live performance. Following its release, the project became a prominent feature in KROI's live tours and major event appearances, including a landmark set at ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2025.
