A youngin’ can’t help but take in his surroundings at any given time.Justice Theory is the product of a Middle Tennessee feller,Matt Bridges, being brought up in the 1980’s in the quiet Nashville suburb of Mt. Juliet,TN.
Matt Bridges’ musical career was kick-started when an old family friend took him to see Kiss in 1988.From there on Matt knew he was destined to be the worlds loudest air drummer.
The house that this little guy was brought up in was infamous for it’s variety of vinyl(that’s records to you oldies). With such a variety, from John Williams soundtracks to Randy Travis, from U2 to Depeche Mode…Matt grew comfortable with just about all styles of music.By Jr. High,Matt was swallowing heavy doses of Public Enemy as well as Hank Jr. and Aerosmith. That honest appreciation for all genres is translated quite well in Justice Theory’s tracks.
While getting heavy doses of other stuff in the late 90’s,Matt played drums with Nashville based jam-band Brothers’ Cup,and in 2001 went on to help create one of the scene’s finest southern-blues rock bands,Old Union.
After several solo acoustic shows in 2004,Matt started the roots-rock band Flat Rock Revival in 2005 and presently still resides as that bands chief singer/songwriter and drummer.
In 2007,Matt began working on this new project,Justice Theory.
