Biography
Originally called Jesus and the Disciples, Jupiter lander formed in October 2005 from the ashes of We Are Corpses, Four Planes in Four Days and The Machines Will Take Over.
In autumn 2007 they released a self titled 7" EP featuring the tracks:
1. Private Ion
2. Stars as Mirrors
3. A Game For Two
On October 16th 2007 the band issued this statement on their blog announcing their split:
"sorry to anyone who thought we were neat, but jupiter lander are calling it a day. josh and jake both decided to go their separate ways this year and while ricky, ben, ali and i will most probably continue to make music together we will no longer be jupiter lander. thanks to all the people who've put us on, put out our record, bought our record, watched us play…it's been fun."

The band's last songs are soon to be released as a split 12" with Wales' Railway Ghosts (also their last recordings before disbanding).
The band's final show took place on Monday 15th September 2008 at The Packhorse, Leeds.
