Biography
Josephine Genais is a London born, 20 year old singer and songwriter. The young writer’s listeners are drawn to the vulnerability in her poetic lyrics sung over cinematic soundscapes. Her debut EP “Madness is the Muse” is a brutally human retelling of a haunting from ghosts past being carried into the present. It is an ode to a free fall into the open arms of madness. The individual songs each tell a different story of the coming of age of a young woman. Learning to pave her way through the haze of having her heart broken and breaking her own heart. Madness is the Muse is what lies at the extremities of sanity, it’s a product of straying too close to the edge, and pulling oneself back to safety again.
