On “MODUS”, Joji describes the pressures of the music industry as they try to mould him into a pop star. He feels tied down by those that he describes as being his “programmers.” The word MODUS might be a play to the Latin phrase “Modus Vivendi” meaning “an arrangement allowing people or groups of people who have different opinions or beliefs to work or live together.”
Joji knows that he is capable of achieving complete artistic freedom and strives to make music that he can feel completely proud of.
