Jenny is a Boy began in 2005 as the solo acoustic project of Adam Coppess, originally from Evansville, IN, currently residing in Bloomington, IN. His early albums are folk-punky, mostly personal songs, stylistically indebted to such influences as The Mountain Goats and John Prine and rooted in Indiana DIY culture.
