Biography

Jason Ward was born in Sechelt, British Columbia in 1974. He spent his childhood years growing up in Gibsons, British Columbia until about the age of 11. From there he moved to Toronto, Ontario where he spent his teenage years. He attended Central Technical School where he spent 4 years in the school's music program including electronic keyboarding and computers with MIDI. At 22 years old he left Toronto and moved to the greater suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he met his wife and still lives to this day.

Jason started composing music in the late 1980s, and released his first track, "High Albedo" in 1993. His strongest influences include Ray Lynch, Yanni, and Enya among many others. He has composed music in the genres of New Age, Celtic, Orchestral, Trance, and Modern Fusion.

In 1999 Jason began composing music with a renewed interest. During the time between 1999 and 2002 he released several tracks including "Space Station #9" and "Tiny Bouncing Objects" among dozens of others.

In the late 1990s and into the early 2000s he was a prominent new age artist on MP3.com where he released and sold 4 albums between 1999 and 2002. Those albums were abruptly discontinued with the closing of the website in 2003.

Jason currently has 4 albums available as follows: Music Storm (2007), Transcendence (2008), Dancing in the Meadows (2009), and Somewhere in the World (2011). All albums feature collections of new age music.

Jason runs and maintains a website where he showcases his work and his music is available for sale.
