James Hunter USA is a rock band from Atlanta (Georgia). The band was started by James R. Hunter, who added "USA" to his stage name, to differentiate himself from the more well-known British singer. The songs are written, composed, and sung by him; he also occasionally plays the keyboard. As of the latest album, Counterweights, the band also consists of: Matt Hendler (drums), Gokul Parasuram (guitars, backing vocals), Jack Thomson (bass guitar), and Greg Hendler (engineering, production).
