Biography
Established in 2020, JJ Sterry is a British musical project featuring John 'Gaoler' Sterry and his long time foil, George Ackerley. They create a sound which fuses intimately spoken verses with lush choruses and vintage synths.
John Sterry has toured extensively as lead singer in later incarnations of British post-punk icons, Gang Of Four, featuring as a vocalist on all of their releases since 2014.
JJ Sterry's first outing was the song 'Day Turns To Night' on Gang Of Four's final EP (and tribute to their deceased guitarist, Andy Gill), Anti Hero (2020).
