Biography

Manabu Iwamura began making music while he was still in junior high school, inspired by Yellow Magic Orchestra and Kraftwerk. He studied in US and Italy, where in Milan he began his DJ career whilst he was studying interior decoration. Soon he was composing for fashion shows in Milan & Paris, and became famous in Italy's fashion scene.

He met Yasuharu Konishi during Pizzicato Five's Italy Tour of 1999, and in 2000 he contributed a remix for Readymade Records sampler "Viva La Generation Readymade 2000" as well as releasing his first album "This Is How I Feel About Jazz", which both J-Pop & Jazz DJ's/critics alike highly acclaimed. He also featured on "Punch The Monkey!: Very Best Of Punch The Monkey! In The Mix", and collaborated in the studio on the solo album of Maki Nomiya called "Miss Maki Nomiya Sings".

Now based in Tokyo since January 2002, he released his 2nd album "Teorema" on Readymade International which featured as guests the German film-music meister Peter Thomas and actor Ibu Masato. He also produced "Amaranth - The Music Theme Produced By Iwamura Manabu", remixed for a remix album "Bossa Disney Nova" on Walt Disney Records (Japan), and composed for more fashion shows for designers Keita Maruyama, Bally, et al.
