Don't get me wrong, I don't think Issues has a bad ep/album. I've just liked each release more than the last but still love the early stuff too. Beautiful Oblivion just had this progressive metal/jazzy/groovy aspect going that felt more unique to me. Headspace did this pretty well too but idk something about Oblivion just sounded more special. Black diamonds is dope though. Love Princeton Avenue and King of Amarillo. Epic classics. I ev en remember when they said "these songs sound more like Woe is Me than Woe is Me did" 🤣

Check out the bands Shrezzers (they have a lot of catchy rhythms like Issues but with a Saxophonist), Vrsty (gives post-hardcore Michael jackson vibes 😂 , Skyhaven (Sounds like Polyphia with vocals and Tyler Carter is featured on a super catchy song), Shelia (Moonwalk gives Issues vives with synthwave), and Amarionette (gives michael jackson meets Dance Gavin Dance vibes).

As someone who is gay, this allegation against Tyler is the worst allegation for me yet. Tyler was not only a powerful vocalist but he was also bisexual. He had a unique mark in the scene. Now that him and Jonny craig are both gone, the scene feels empty. I hope that void gets filled or the metal community could be severely fucked when this pandemic is over. Hopefully Skyler willl replace tyler. He sounded amazing in Here's to You and I think it's a smart move with the BLM movement.

R-Mac 23 May 2016, 5:37pm I wouldn't be surprised if Tyler went solo after this. His melodicism is getting better and better and (I'm sorry) the screaming kind of holds him back. I'm not saying that the screaming is a *detriment* to him, because I love Issues as a whole, but what I'm saying is... look at Dallas Green's career. Now consider Tyler's appeal. He could easily surpass what Dallas Green is doing under City and Colour. With the right push, he could be Justin Bieber/Sam Smith status. Just listen to a song like "Home Soon" and imagine it strained of all the hard stuff. I'll give him 2 more albums max with Issues.

I got him with one more album with Issues before going contemporary solo. Also, the new Issues album is clearly the Tyler show and it makes perfect sense that it is because his vocals have always been the highlight of Issues. He's about to outgrow this band in terms of stardom, real talk, and he's gonna have to part ways. He's about to Genesis/Phil Collins right up outta this piece fam.

интересно, а вот такие группы тоже потом будут заносить в зал славы рок н ролла и считать классикой?

Beautiful Oblivion is quite literally a budgeted version of Headspace with all the substance from Headspace missing. This is such a let down.

I dig the new album. Not quite sure if it's as good as Headspace yet, but we'll see. There are definitely 2 or 3 tracks that I'm not crazy about though.
