There are several bands with this name:
1) Improper Burial is a progressive metal band from Derby, Kansas. They just released their album Forced Lobotomy on December 20th of 2013. They have continued to progress in the local metal scene of Wichita, Kansas. They hope to one day tour the country doing what they love.

2) Improper Burial is a melodic/brutal death metal band from the state of Delaware. Their newer music is more death metal influenced, where as their older material was more of a heavy metalcore style. This was due to old members and different musical influences.
The band continues to have lineup changes and problems, but is continuing strong. Improper Burial takes its name from a song of the same name by the band Conducting from the Grave.
