Illegal motives is a group of three young men that have conflicting-complicated personality, they have been together since the end of the year 2004, hundreds of times they spend in the studio, playing music that unites them, creating new songs, and arranged the song of their favorite bands or just sitting around drinking coffee while talking about something and of course dozens of gigs / stages that they have ascended! Maximum performance, wild and sometimes make people wince. And without Illegal Family (designation for their fans) they are nothing!.
illegal motives are D'Mex, Artzex and Agib Tanjung, they mixed up pop-punk music and grunge style such as Nirvana or The Vines! Then so they have their own color (listen to 'Aborsi' or 'Cold Heart Breaker' as a benchmark). In one of their sites, it’s mentioned "illegal motives is a pop band trying to play rock music!", is it Alternative? Rock? Non- Cutting edge? too Mainstream? Whatever you say! They just wanted to play on their music.
In the year of 2007 Illegal motives released their first LP “Akhir Sebuah Kandungan” (actually all the song in this album was their demo collection), some singles on this album are very familiar with the ear of Illegal Family. The album was released by an incompatible label from Solo, Indonesia PT. Sick of Musikita. In 2009 one of their songs “Honestly” are included in an international compilation titled Rock4Life: volume 8 by Quickstar Production in America, they are distributed at some point in some countries from Asia to Africa. Year 2010 was, in the middle of the year they will release new first EP “a l t e r e g o s e n s i t i f”. On this EP they sounded more mature in music, the indicator is “Yang Tua Yang Mendua” or The Cheating Old Geezers in english.
