Biography
Formed in early 2015, HUMANITIES is a four-piece post-hardcore/noise rock band from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Humanities weaves its guitar-driven sound from the interzone between heaviness and melody, dissonance, dirge, and harmony. Combining musical ferocity and thoughtful lyrics — spoken sung, and screamed — Humanities’ sound is at once angry, poetic and visionary. Drawing imagery and ideas from the contemporary malaise and violence of our times, Humanities’ muse is the world itself in crisis. Humanities’ self-titled EP, set to be released in winter 2016, is the first document of the band’s sound.
