Without thinking I can say that this song would be on my top 10 list of one-chord songs. The relentless, driving rhythm of both the guitar riff and rhythm section (whose hypnotic momentum is among the most compelling evidence in support of the 'less is more' philosophy), coupled with the unmistakable charisma of the vocals and harmonica... the song exudes an unrivaled aura of grit and manly gusto... evoking - in equal parts - feelings of pain, anger, loneliness, desperation, and - though this may just be hindsight - lamenting the monotony of modern life/existential dread... Not to mention the bone-chilling undertone of malice... lending it an intoxicating effect of general badassery that is so potent, several minutes of exposure could cause an Amish grandmother to spontaneously acquire a leather jacket and switchblade, peel out on a motorcycle, and have a criminal record by morning. Wolf does the impossible and sends us to heaven with breath drawn all the way from the bowels of hell..

Iconic blues song. This is recommended for anyone who has never listened to blues and wants to check out the blues, this should easily be one of the first blues songs they should listen to.
