Biography
Hoi Poloi were formed in 1987 and came from West Yorkshire, around Wakefield and Dewsbury.
Line-up:
Steve Wright – Vocals (former band, Fiat Lux)
Gary Leslie – Keyboards (former bands, 1-Syntax-1 and Paradise Now)
Peter Oldroyd – Guitar (former bands, Camera Obscura and Paradise Now)
Rob Gospel – Bass Guitar (former bands, 1-Syntax-1 and Paradise Now)
The band's career lasted about 18 months. Unfortunately they never secured a recording deal despite serious interest from many major record labels.
