Biography
Originally a quartet from Richmond, Virginia,starting in 1994, comprised of Dave Sanchez (guitar/ vocals), Warren Jones (bass/ vocals), Erik Herndon (guitar/ vocals), Buffy Davis (drums). The band became a trio after three years, after Sanchez left to pursue a career in visual arts, and then in 1999 they moved to Atlanta, Georgia to be closer to their label, Moodswing Records. In 2005 Hell Mach 4 played their final show, after releasing three albums, a demo tape, a split 7" with Stinking Lizaveta, and appearing on various compilations. Major influences for the band were Drive Like Jehu, Hoover, Fugazi, Unwound, Shellac, Jesus Lizard, and Tortoise, to name a few.
