The Rotter's Club might well lop off your ears. Read the Jonathan Coe book, it's great!

This is new to me but very reminiscent of Caravan! Blind Dog at St dunstans ?I think is the one it reminds me of, the album I mean. They don't often play a bad note so I have to say I love this. Great keyboard... David sinclair is my favourite keyboardist from this lot though. Look him up, he plays the brilliant solo in the middle of this Caravan track: http://www.last.fm/music/Caravan/For+Girls+Who+Grow+Plump+In+The+Night/The+Dog%2C+The+Dog%2C+He%27s+At+It+Again Or 'The Dog, the dog, He's at it again...' It is just an amazing keyboard piece on there!

Wonderful. Played great but Richard's very English singing and lyrics prevented the Hatfields from ever being up themselves. There's always something a bit playful going on here

As My brother once wrote in one of his many music reviews, that if Prog was never invented, then Richard Sinclair would have had to invent it, just to highlight his voice...a voice so perfectly suited to the genre that the two almost go hand in hand. Through Caravan, Camel and Hatfield...that voice and sound are always magical.
