Biography
Hans Ulrich Staeps (1909-1988) was a German composer, born in Dortmund. He was professor at the Vienna Conservatory. He has written school operas, cantatas, works for elementary tuition, and chamber music for every possible combination of recorders. Stylistically Staeps owes much to the direction characterised by Paul Hindemith.
