New Day Rising is the third studio album by Hüsker Dü, released in 1985 via SST Records. It was recorded at Nicollet Studios (Minneapolis) during July 1984.
The album cover features a photograph by band member Grant Hart, showing dogs in the water at Hidden Beach in Minneapolis, now known as Cedar Lake East Beach.
