“gullible gods” is the solo musical project of Marc Drinkwater, a human.
We have classified these sounds as instrumental art rock, displaying latent psychedelic tendencies and a monomaniacal fascination with accessible aberration.
Other humans with a documented affinity for the subject have compared these sounds to Animal Collective and Brian Eno (circa Taking Tiger Mountain).
Although the subject insists that “gullible gods” is a random appellation, we posit that it is in fact a metaphorical device, describing the chronic manner in which humans become subservient to their self-constructed identities. When confronted with this hypothesis, subject became confused and irritable.
Despite the subject’s denial, our theory was supported by a series of sculptures assembled by Eric Zabriskie, also human, as an accompaniment to this musical project. Our analysis of these works revealed consistent themes of existential confusion and agitation.
Currently, subject has been tagged and released. Our most recent status check found him collaborating with the human David Forlano to produce sounds that we have temporarily classified as dark ambient. This journal will be updated as new data is collected.
