"The sound of GRUA, materialized in the urban confines of the Lisbon metropolis, delivers a sonic assault, in which the chaotic noise, enshrouded in its rough texture, gives birth to vivid pictures of an incandescent post-industrial dystopia.
The energetic post-rock of the project by João Gonçalves and Rui Ribeiro locks itself into the asphalt and reverberates the railways and the windows of the abandoned structures, elevating the pressure up till triggering the scheduled demolition.
It is then, after the concrete comes crashing down and we are left in a desolate landscape, that we begin to see the ghosts of distant memories, born in silence and growing through boldness, sometimes leading us, by hand, to a triumphant outcome. At that moment, our thirst is sated, however, our addiction is everlasting."
