Biography
Hailing from the United Kingdom, Grave Altar is a morbid black/thrash metal band that emerged from the underground scene in 2015. Initially based in Bristol, England, the band later relocated to the West Midlands. They quickly established a raw and primitive sound rooted in old-school traditions.
Grave Altar delivers razor-sharp riffs, fast and solid drumming, punishing bass lines, and hellish vocals. Their influences include classic bands like Hellhammer/Celtic Frost, Darkthrone, Slayer, and early Sepultura. They also draw inspiration from modern Norwegian thrash bands such as Deathhammer, Nekromantheon, Condor, Aura Noir, and Inculter.
