Biography

Glamvestite Vampirez began as Candy Apple Queenz and was formed by TRACI MICHAELZ-Drums (ex Heart Throb Mob, current Peppermint Creeps) and BRANDI KATES-Lead Vocals (ex Darling Dead). They were joined by PAUL (ex Willow Wisp) and the first 3 songs were written, "Candyland", "Play With Me", and "My Life". Things did not work out with Paul and in came BILLI FOXXX on guitar and MINDI S'VAIN on bass. The band quickly gathered a loyal following with their brand of bubblegum glam. The next year, the song "Glamvestite Vampirez From Outer Space" was written and an evolution began to take place. The name change came as well as the departure of Billy and Mindi. In came RENE RHINE on guitar and JONNI RAQUEL (ex Revlon Red) on bass. The music became darker and heavier reflecting on the life and surroundings of the band. Songs such as "Hollywood Whorror", "Hatred", "Images of The Convent" and "Virginia Pink" became part of the stage show. Another line up change came as Rene and Jonni were replaced by CHRIS LACEY (ex Darling Died Suicide, Violent Playground) on guitar and JOHNNY FAVERUTTT (ex Darling Dead) on bass. This would be the final incarnation of the band. Progress continued to be made but as the band was set to record a new offering for the labels to be produced by the late Randy Castillo, differences led to the bands demise. These songs unfortunately never made it on to a recording. This has been set up for fans both past and present to remember the band that managed during the grunge filled 90's to give the LA music seen a good kick in the ass! Any new information that comes will be seen here. We hope you enjoy!
