Genaro are a four piece band from Carluke, near Glasgow.
Their unique style lies in the emotive ability to mix pathos, humour, love and
politics with melodies that seize even the most casual listener: from classic
guitar pop to FX driven workouts.
They have played regularly around Scotland including Go North 2006, Musicworks
2005, King Tuts, Glasgow Art College, The Tunnels (Aberdeen) and the QMU.
They were invited to play In The City 2004 in Manchester in September 2004, and
kicked off the Benbecula Records Showcase at The Arches in October, headlined
by Robin Guthrie of The Cocteau Twins.
In February 2006 they recorded their debut album for Benbecula, to be released early 2007 (part funded by the Scottish Arts Council).
