Biography
It was in late 2009 as Jaeger and producer Swing Tech decided to merge under the group name Futuretro. Earlier in the year they released a four track -EP, then under the rapper Jaeger's name, but it was not until the two formed the group as a music creation took off. Futuretro, as the name alludes to, a mix of old and new. With one foot in traditional hip-hop and the other in Detroit funky, atmospheric and electronic tones, they want to communicate one's own view of how hip hop should sound.
During the two-year creative process, the record has a clear path in both the songs and sound design. Instead of getting as many people as possible, wanted the group rather scale and ultimately became the only two guests in the form of singer James Gamba and The Ginger. Jaeger is exclusively for rap and Swing Tech for production. The album was recorded in Industrin, the studio out in west Stockholm in Stockholm, which over the years has hosted capabilities for Industrin, Mächy and Daltone to name a few.
