These gals are both eye-blindigly gorgeous and play a blend of the finest, most beautiful, most original country/folk/southern sound that I sit with most of the year, with a cup of coffee or tea late at night with the lights off and an incense stick slowly burning in the background (can't beat that). Also can't hide the fact that THE LONG DARK video game kinda brought me here in the first place after that memorable intro (HInterland I love you!). Soul melting tunes right here. I am in love. Hyper recommended!!!

As much as I love them, I unfortunately have to agree. I was a fan when Drunken Trees was the only thing they had out because of the sheer talent of their vocals, I also went to see them on the Lion's Roar tour and the Stay Gold tour, but Ruins didn't hit me like those first three albums and EP did. With Tender Offerings I feel like they've become what they were a breath of much needed fresh air from, generic indie-pop-folk.

Ruins is actually a very sweet album, but I actually prefer the new EP with cut songs. I think they touch on some more interesting subjects and I like the more gentle pre-relationship vibe more than heartbreak. We have enough heartbreak in music but not nearly enough self-reflection or gentleness. I mean, anyway all their stuff is fucking great <3

Tender Offerings EP coming September 14th! Ruins is amazing and even if the EP is just some album cuts I'll be satisfied.

Playing at Cambridge Folk Festival this *August*. yes the new organisers have *moved* the dates of this festival that has been running for over 50 years. Scottish festival goers will be less able to make the trip now due to the Monday after not being a bank holiday. Hope CFF doesn't go too mainstream - it has a Tradition to support.

actually.. I gave it another chance a few months ago and realized that it's actually awesome. Hem of her dress is.. well, pretty bad but the rest of the tracks are beautiful. To live a life is probably my favorite. So update: I guess it wasn't quite what I first expected and because of that I was turned off but when I gave it a second HONEST chance I really enjoyed it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
