Biography
There are at least two artists sharing the name Femme Fatales: 1) a rock band; 2) an American singer-songwriter
1) The Femme Fatales are a trio of unlikely confidantes who are as comfortable carving jolting recesses in electronic rackets as they are cozying up to the likes of room shattering guitar riffs. They are vexed by inertia and their sole prerequisite is to buoy the crowd from prone to rapid energy movement.
2) Femme Fatales is the musical work of 15 year old American singer-songwriter, Alex Owens. Alex writes melancholy music for sad people just like her. She takes influence from the work of artists like Mazzy Star and Carissa’s Wierd. Her blend of bittersweet ethereal dreampop and heart-wrenching lyrics shadows a nostalgia for the mid-90s shoegaze scene.
