Biography

The ethereal notes of Evelyn Fuentes' voice were frequently heard in the mid-90s in songs like "Marfil", "Solté mi cuerpo al viento solar" and especially the radio hit "Mírame solo una vez" by Christianes, a group that had started among the generation of musicians under the goth influence at the end of the previous decade, but that with the arrival of the singer took the brightest direction released on the album Ultrasol (1995).

Two years later the group broke up in 1997, and after that experience where musical composition depended above all on her companions, Evelyn Fuentes dedicated herself to creating her own. With dance studies at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Chile, she also dedicated himself to other parallel tasks, but by the middle of the following decade she was performing as a soloist, with guitar and acoustic songs such as "Viajo sin tocar la tierra" and "Envuelta en llamas".

After playing more frequently during 2008, alone or with musicians like Doctor Pez, she presented her first album. With her recognizable voice, the same acoustic guitar sound and an occasional viola da Gamba as the only elements, "Sin culpa" was released with a concert on March 5, 2009 and released by the singer for free download on the Internet.

In 2017 he released his album "Extravagante Azar", a work closer to rock and noise, incorporating a varied instrumentation that ranges from guitars to sax. With this proposal, he explores different local scenarios.

Today she continues to perform on Chilean stages with her solo songs and classics from Christianes days.
