According to the I Like It Songfacts. the song was Iglesias' biggest hit in the US for nearly ten years. The singer discussed the song's success with Jam! Music: " It wasn't premeditated. This song just came about. But when it was finished I felt like it had a great energy, and I always believed in it."
'I Like It' is the first single from Enrique's new album 'Euphoria' – it was produced by Lady Gaga's pal RedOne and features a vocal cameo from Lionel Richie and guest apperance by US rapper Pitbull. The track was released in late June 2010 and looked set to become the Latin singer's eleventh UK top twenty hit.
