Active from summer '89-mid '93, started as a goofy little project for some bored graduate students at Washington University in St. Louis. In Summer of '90, they recorded their debut "(Why it's) Enormous Richard's Almanac", an exuberant pop/folk 30-song cassette. That recording launched them into a period of touring and recording (two more self-released cd's) with an ever-shifting lineup. Eventually their music evolved in a somewhat more serious folk-rock direction. They changed their name to Eleanor Roosevelt and continued for a couple more years under that name. "The Almanac" is now available as a cd and download. Two E. Roos records are also available.
