This is and was my first of two smooth jazz albums concieved and recorded in london,england with some of my best friends, Graham Cuttill- drums/backing vocals,Dave Stevens-keyboards/programming/backing vocals,Neil Pyzer-engineer/sax/flute/programming,myself Emmett North Jr-guitarist/scatting/backing vocals and a host of other friends listed inside the sleeve of the album, there's ten instrumental tracks some with backing vocals,there's some fast,moderate and slow tracks some smooth,some very funky,i enjoyed composing and recording it and sure you'll enjoy listening,this album was recorded in 1994' and released in june 1995',the debute of the album was promoted by london jazz radio station 'Jazz-FM and 'The Jazz Cafe',we debuted the album at 'The Jazz Cafe' august 21 & 22,1995',it was released in the uk,holland,belgium and other countries in europe,'In The Zone' was re-released in the US in december 22,2003' and is still selling and playing well on jazz radio,again i hope you enjoy it and my other albums sincerely & musically,Emmett North Jr.
