Emme PHYZEMA is a colorful avant / brutal prog multi-instrumentalist recluse from Ohio, USA. After keeping to herself for over a decade, Emme recently began the process of cleaning up a ridiculous mess of material and has released six albums.
Emme's uncompromising musical arrangements sway between overwhelmingly obsessive, carelessly catchy and all around zany. Although aggressive & noisy at times, her anxiety inducing melodies are paradoxically pleasant. The most consistent roots in Emme Phyzema's sound are the layered melodic theme / motif references hidden in her music for the dedicated listener; her love of folk, classical & avant / RIO shines through a shrouded veil of self-absorbed insanity.
