Biography
Elements of Design was a female fronted band that formed in the mid 80’s.
This slick new wave obscurity consisted of four members – 2 female / 2 male. The entire band had strong ties to Baltimore, MD, having previous stints in such local alternative outfits as Boy Meet Girl, Question 47 and Talk Show. Their style had a variety of influences which bring to fruition a four song set of dynamic, rhythmic and memorable new wave synth pieces.
Press releases characterized their sound as a cross between Gang of Four and The Pretender. We are favorable to leader Rose Manfre’s passionate mesmerizing vocal calls. A private pressing via Impact Records, who were a Towson, Maryland based recording and artist management company.
