Dymytry is a Czech-Russian metal band that describes itself as a pioneer and standard-bearer of the modern "psy-core" music style. Their uncompromising guitar-driven sound, combined with powerful vocals and their striking predator masks – crafted by the National Theatre – make them a unique spectacle on stages across the Czech Republic.

The band members come from various regions of the country and beyond, and many of them are active in other well-known music projects. Drummer Lukáš "HellBoy" Pavlík and guitarist Jiří "Dymo" Urban also perform with Aleš Brichta's band, while vocalist Jan "Protheus" Macků plays the role of Haemon in the rock opera "Antigona" alongside the renowned soprano Eva Urbanová. Former bassist Marek Harustiak, who previously played with Dymytry, now performs with the band Krucipüsk.

Notable collaborations include Protheus contributing lyrics to Arakain’s album "Labyrint" and Dymo’s involvement in Aleš Brichta’s album production.

In 2006, Dymytry released a multi-single titled "Psy-core" through the label Open Media and began preparing their next studio release, "Neser".

In the 2008 season, the band underwent a management change and relaunched their efforts with renewed energy, aiming to conquer both Czech and international stages. Their success under the new management was highlighted by their performance on the main stage at Slovakia's Infernofest 2008, in a prominent time slot.

The band announced that their new album is set for release in spring 2012.
