Biography
In the 30 years spanning Duke Sharp's career, he has remained an original musician who defies genre and categorization. Producing both solo and collaborative effort albums, one reviewer described Sharp's music as "a unique blend of western, latin and jazz sounds." After extensive experience teaching students of music, Sharp has written his own book based on his impressions of effective methodology in teaching and learning music. Sharp's insightful book, Garage Band Theory, walks learners effortlessly through the fundamentals of music theory before delving into how to play music 'by ear.' Being an established multi-instrumentalist himself, Sharp picks apart various well-known works of music in his book and explains how to play them.
