Biography
Dr Chrispy, whose real name is Dr. Chris Boshuizen, is an Australian aeronautical engineer, music producer, songwriter, and former astronaut. He has a unique background that combines his passion for space exploration and music.
Dr Chrispy worked at NASA for nearly five years, inventing new types of spacecraft. He later co-founded Planet Labs, a company operating the largest fleet of Earth-observing satellites. In 2021, he fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming an astronaut when he flew to space alongside William Shatner on Blue Origin's NS-18 mission, making him Australia's third astronaut.
Despite his demanding career in aerospace, Dr Chrispy has always found time for his other love - music. He has written and produced hundreds of unreleased tracks, many of which were composed during his travels for work. In 2018, he released his debut album "VHS" under the nickname "Chrispy," a collection of instrumental tracks capturing the vibe and moments from different locations he visited over the years.
Dr Chrispy continues to create new music from his home studio in San Francisco, often blending his experiences in space exploration with his musical talents. He has released several singles and EPs, including "The Great Unknown," which chronicles the journey of explorers from dreaming as a kid to living out those dreams.
