Biography
Distorted In Eclipse started as a improvisation-based black metal project by man behind Mengele Blue Eyes' vocals and guitars.
The music was first slow, atmospheric and melancholic. Also rough distortion and nature adoring lyrics were always present.
After couple single released songs, the debut album "He hath cast me into the mire, and I am become like dust and ashes…" came out in March 2009. The music was changed to more noisier and more brutal way. As the later songs were more 'autumn-like', the "He hath cast me into the mire, and I am become like dust and ashes…" were cold and filled with bitterness.
The lyrics were more modern; for example 'dystopic, distorted, insane' would be right words to describe the lyrics. Guitar was the only instrument used on album, and with loud distortion and reverb and multiplying tracks, it created a massive and cold ambience.
DIE is still active, and planing on new releases.
In Summer 2009, Distorted In Eclipse released untitled EP. It consisted 3 songs, and the style has changed to more traditional way. The lyrics was changed into nature-adoring, and maybe a little erotic or romantic style. The music had also lot of neofolk-influences.
