1) "汚い川"
Dirty River is a vaporwave/barber beats artist from A Coruña, Spain. Among the traditional barber beats style, he also has many original productions in his discography.
2) Forming in 2006, this band of notable songwriters and hot pickers combines traditional, contemporary, and original bluegrass arrangements that share with their audiences plaintive lyrics, gritty instrumentals, and timeless stories. The title track of their debut album is emblematic of the band’s unique contribution to the modern bluegrass and acoustic roots landscape—Originally written by John Fogerty as a dirge, these amazing lyrics now breathe anew, with hard-driving instrumentation and urgent vocals lending immediacy to the tragedy. While the band maintains their home in the Washington DC area, Evan Sands (banjo/voals) and John Relph (mandolin/vocals) are both transplants hailing from Chattanooga, TN and San Francisco, CA, respectively. John is a four-time California State picking champion on both mandolin and guitar whose unconventional energy helps to drive the band. Evan’s melodic licks on the five string and storyteller writing style equally delight listeners. In 2004, Michael Barton (resophonic/vocals) won the RockyGrass Instrument Contest for Dobro, and continues his ambitious approach on the band’s arrangements. While all members share lead and harmony vocal duties, Billy Park (guitar/vocals) fronts the majority of their repertoire with heartfelt range, solid guitar playing, and honest songwriting. Filling things out with a rock solid thump and deep bottom vocals is Gary Cole (bass/vocals). Pulling from interests in blues, britpop, classic country, Celtic, folk, gospel, jazz, rock and Texas swing, Dirty River has garnered a fresh & identifiable sound that’s pleased some of the most deep-rooted of audiences. They have shared the stage with the likes of Audie Blaylock and Redline, Danny Paisley & the Southern Grass, Wayne Taylor & Appaloosa, Bill Emerson & Sweet Dixie, Ronnie Reno & the Reno Tradition, Constant Change, Randy Waller & the Country Gentlemen, and many local DC bands.
