Biography
James Edward Garcia is the band. Dimthings played drums in prog art and alt rock, musique-concrete, punk etc.. Did solo exhibitions compared to “animal of the Muppets”. He experimented in electronic and avant-garde sound forms Ala. musique concrete at a youthful age from the 1970’s through the next couple of decades. He released his own albums and tapes (Do-It-Yourself or DIY), performing and producing most of the compositions, improvisations, songs. He released 3 Double LP’s (last of which never actually got released), and 4 garage recording LP’s between 1982-1986, as well as some side projects. Music was an outlet to express his youthful rebellious energy.
