Desert of the Real is a Austin Canik's (formerly Tan Dragon Clan) solo band project in Houston.
The entire debut record Desert of the Real was recorded pretty much by himself. Listen to any song and just mull that fact over in your mind. You’ll be impressed.
Austin isn’t looking to create pat, just-add-water music for commercials (like too many others today). He’s doing what he loves and we should all take note, because it’s awesome.
