The Angry Birds Movie (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is released May 6th 2016. Demi Lovato’s “I Will Survive” is one of the songs featured in the movie.
It's a cover of Gloria Gaynor’s 1978 disco hit. Gaynor's shoes are tough to fill, but Demi does a hell of a job. Demi Lovato’s version takes a modern, fun, passionate, extra-energized approach, complete with powerful, magnetic vocals and full, lively accompaniment and to the surprise of no one, it's very catchy.
It's bound to re-inspire people to try belting the track themselves the next time they go to karaoke.
The soundtrack, released through Atlantic Records, also features tracks from Blake Shelton, Charli XCX, and Peter Dinklage, all of whom are featured in the film (due May 20). Directed by Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly from a script by Jon Vitti, the movie reveals how the birds at the center of the mobile game came to be so angry.
