    • Dave Mann

Dave Mann and his fellow musicians have created a very smooth, acoustic based collection of songs that make you want to sing and dance. For a debut album, there is great cause to get excited. This Fremantle-based three-piece are one of the impressive new acts that seem to be constantly springing from Western Australia. They are a tight, classy outfit. Dave Mann's voice is like a less-grating, less-churning John Butler. His finger-plucking melodies shift from gentle lullaby love songs ("Surrender") to upbeat numbers that make you want to move your feet and kiss the nearest member of the opposite sex ("Who You Are"). It's a hard album to criticise, although the title track could be a little less dreary. Album highlight is "Through The Eyes Of Another", a reflective song for Dave Mann, about a moving conversation he had with an old battler. Just like Lior, Dave Mann Collective will make you feel really good. Drink some red wine, invite some friends over and play Endless Page in the background. Good times.
